At Cordeck, we believe that the strength of our company lies in the dedication and passion of our team members. We’re thrilled to spotlight Kelly Schmitz, our Director of Human Resources, who has been a cornerstone of our company since 1999. Kelly’s 25 years of service is a testament to her unwavering commitment, hard work, and the positive impact she has made on our team and company culture.
A Legacy of Excellence
Kelly began her career at Cordeck as an Office Assistant, where she quickly demonstrated her ability to handle a variety of tasks with efficiency and grace. Over the years, she embraced new challenges and took on diverse roles, including positions in sales and management. Her dedication and pursuit of excellence led her to earn an Associate’s degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management. Kelly’s path at Cordeck has seen her rise to HR Manager and later the Director of Human Resources and Accounting Manager.
Kelly’s commitment to her professional development is evident in her achievement of the SHRM-SCP certification, a prestigious recognition in the field of human resources. This certification showcases her expertise and dedication to providing exceptional support and leadership within Cordeck.
Supporting the Cordeck Family
In her own words, Kelly views our employees as her customers. She believes in serving each team member with excellent customer service by addressing their needs, providing them with the tools for success, and answering their questions. Her approach ensures that every employee feels valued and supported, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Kelly’s love for her career at Cordeck is palpable. She cherishes the dynamic nature of her role, where each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make Cordeck an even greater place to work. Her passion and dedication to her career inspire everyone around her.
Community Involvement and Personal Insights
While Kelly has taken a step back from community activities for personal and family reasons, she previously dedicated her time to teaching Sunday school and serving on the church council. This sense of community extends to her role at Cordeck, where she fosters a supportive and inclusive environment.
A fun fact about Kelly is her affinity for balance, influenced by her Libra sign. She has a keen eye for patterns and sequences, which adds a unique touch to her approach to problem-solving. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending quality time with her family, particularly watching her son practice and compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
